Welcome Week and the First Weeks of School

Hello ministry partners,

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for my ministry here at TWU.  I'm currently in the library with some students studying for their classes.

Welcome Week and the First Weeks of School

Before the first week of school, our pastoral staff and student leaders (about 40) spend all day every day meeting students, inviting them to small groups and into friendship. We spent each morning together in a devotional preparing us for the day ahead.

We hosted a tie dye tote bag event and met a lot of people that way. A couple of the girls we met are coming to our small groups and are now doing one-on-one Bible studies with us! We also took some students to the Denton square and the Denton Community Market.

Overall the week was a huge success. Our TWU student leader team was so consistent to show up every day and invite students into our ministry.  Our small groups are full of girls who are excited and curious to know who God is.

First Thursday Night Fellowship and Small Group

On Thursday nights, TWU meets with UNT for our weekly fellowship night.  So many students showed up! Praise God!  We're really excited for the good work God is going to do this year.

My small group is Tuesdays at 4:00, which I co-lead with Markia, one of our student leaders. The first week we shared our stories with each other and the second week we talked about the story of Woman at the Well encountering Jesus. Yesterday, some of us went out for tacos after!
Please be praying for the girls in our small group to continue showing up and to be receptive to the Lord and receptive to friendship with each other.

Taco Trip!

This is me and Markia, my co-leader for small group.

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day we got some students together to go to a UNT football game.  It was a fun way to spend time together and support our UNT students.

One of the fun things about college ministry is that I get to live with college students from our ministry! This is Veronica, Samantha, Keelee, and Madai :) I'm excited to get to live with them this year and get to know them better.

Thank you!

Thank you again for your support. All of this would not be possible without you! Praise God for what he has already done in the lives of these students and for what he is going to continue doing!
Please keep praying for our ministry, for the TWU campus, and for our small groups!
