Hello! Welcome back to my blog and thank you for reading!
Reflecting over another year and my last year of ministry in Denton, I’m taken back to the mystery of how God works through us to draw people to himself while we are faithful to continue the ministry of Jesus. Thinking about our students, student leaders, pastors, and ministry partners (you) across our campuses, I’m reminded of this passage from 1 Corinthians 3:5-9 where Paul explains that all of us do our part in ministry, but it is God who transforms a person:
“What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building”.
Thank you for being co-workers in God’s service with me at NCTC, UNT, TWU, and now Richland College!
Some of the student leaders I met with this year at TWU: Martha, Cassy, Audrey, and Chloe. Each of them dedicated many hours of each week to loving and serving other college students. Very thankful for them! Please pray they stay rooted and established in God’s love as they grow in their leadership for years to come.
Our End of Year hang out for NCTC. We were out of breath from playing soccer! Please pray for this group to continue to grow together and become an outreaching, Jesus-loving community at NCTC in the coming years.
Got some family time with Joey’s and my family.
One of our long time staff member, Pedro, is leaving our team to pursue another vocation. This is a photo of everyone who has done ministry with him at Collin College over the years.
